Day 2 -- adventures in Tuesday laziness

My phone is my alarm clock, and also I use a white noise app to help me fall asleep, so the phone is usually within arm's reach when I wake up. Today, I was actually happy to see the time!

I slept in today! \o/ Biggest goal of the day, done.

Sylvie, waking up when I did.

I did miss the bagged breakfast, but oh well. I'd much rather have the sleep!

Made the bed, which generally involves throwing a bunch of blankets on top of it and getting the Angry Birds off of my computer chair. (Textures! Layers! Plushies! <3)

I like late-morning showers -- they feel sort of decadent. Also, I don't wear perfume, but I do like scented soaps and lotions. This one is my current favorite. (Bath & Body Works has ridiculous sales -- buy 3 get 3 free sorts of sales -- so it's easy to load up on this stuff)

It was actually cool enough to layer up the t-shirts. Hogwarts crest worn over magenta long-sleeved tee. I always figured I'd be in Hufflepuff, really, but I haven't found a Hufflepuff shirt yet.
I had planned on taking a walk, but I didn't really. Just a quick trip over here to pick up some junkfood for lunch:

Frozen pizza, my greatest weakness. That and the energy drinks. :P
The CVS is just two blocks down from my place, past the Library Garage:

(which is obviously the coolest parking garage in the city) and the library itself, which is actually fairly hard to get a good shot of? Especially on a cloudy sort of day like it was earlier. It's mostly white marble and humongous pillars. It used to be a bank. The details are pretty cool, like this old night deposit door:

Picked up my mail on the way back: junk, junk, Alumni magazine, catalog . . .

And tax return! \o/ I haven't gotten money back in about 8 years (working for tips meant I always OWED money instead). It's exciting! I'll need to save most of it for my Seattle trip in August, but now I can spend money on a hair cut SOON instead of waiting a few weeks. And I might treat myself to something else, too. Heh. I just noticed the way the hand on the alumni magazine cover and my own hand are situated. I'll say it was a compositional choice! (shhh)
I spent most of the day on the couch reading, so nothing to take pictures of, really.

Dinner was left over veggies-n-rice, tossed in a little bit of teriyaki sauce. I didn't feel like cleaning a pan, so no salmon this time.
Tomorrow: Setting up a savings account for the bulk of my tax return! Setting up a hair appointment! Going back to work!

I love those gigantic book ends.
Extra money is always welcome.
Teriyaki is so handy for spicing up leftovers.
