We have a house! Which, holy cow good timing. If we were stuck in our old apartment right now I think I'd cry.
Most of the acre yard is covered in thorny old blackberries, which will take some hefty work to clear out, but there's space towards the house which is penned in and clear - possibly for those theoretical goats. I'd love goats, myself, but they're probably a few years down the line - first, chickens! We're going to build a coop and get the run set up properly this summer, and have the place ready for baby chicks this fall. It's very exciting! (one of the ladies I work with has had chickens for years, and has offered to be my chicken guru, so I have lots of advice to stand by).
Perhaps once the chickens have settled in, and we've cleared some more space in the thicket, I'll put in a pond and get a few ducks, too!
