crossing fingers . . .
Jun. 18th, 2014 10:39 pmI have an interview tomorrow! For a management position at a new restaurant going into the Plaza. Pros -- decent money, full time hours, interesting field (I like restaurant work, for all it's headaches). Cons -- restaurant doesn't open for something like 10 weeks, and I don't know when my pay would start (though it would be earlier than that, by at LEAST 4 weeks). I'd probably actually make more money as a server somewhere, if you average out the hourly rates, but at least management would bring in an actual paycheck, with actual taxes taken out and everything.
I have restaurant experience (at a restaurant owned by the same group that owns this new one, so that might help) and I have management experience, but no restaurant management experience . . . I know I can do it, but I can I convince them that I can do it? Stay tuned! (and wish me luck, please, I hatehatehate interviews)
